Barbershop in Palembang City is one of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the service sector. Currently there is no clear data regarding the development of the barbershop business. However, it is clear that it is clear that the growth of this business will have a positive impact on improving the welfare of the people in Palembang City. As a business that is still classified as an MSME, barbershop is faced with various challenges. From minimal management to access to capital. There is not much research on this type of business, so data on challenges and obstacles is not yet available. From some data, there are several well-known barbershop in Palembang, namely Big Daddy's Barbershop and F1 Barbershop. Both barbershop are quite busy with customers every day. Even so, there are several barbershop in Palembang City that have to roll over. In general, this barbershop business has increased significantly every year. With the increasing interest and lifestyle of the people of Palembang, this business has considerable potential. What is done in this research is to map the MSME barbershop based on the level of competitiveness. Competitiveness is one measure of the sustainability of a business. With high competitiveness, a business can provide services according to customer expectations. The results of MSME mapping based on competitiveness can be used as the basis for policies or business development strategies. In order to achieve the research objectives, this study went through three stages. The first stage is the measurement of competitiveness. The competitiveness indicator used is profit and also the number of services. The second stage is mapping. The mapping method used is K-Means. This method is used because it is simple and the researcher can determine the number of clusters desired. In this research, two clusters will be made. The consideration taken is that this barbershop business is not too high heterogeneity between one business and another, so if too many clusters are formed it will be ineffective. The last step to take is analysis of each cluster. From the results of data processing obtained two clusters, namely the TOP cluster and the ordinary cluster. The TOP cluster is a collection of barbershop that has a good level of competitiveness, while the regular cluster is a barbershop that has low competitiveness.</p> Yohanes Dicka Pratama Johan Gunady Ony Copyright (c) 2021 Yohanes Dicka Pratama, Johan Gunady Ony 2021-04-02 2021-04-02 4 2 52 61 10.32524/saintek.v4i2.155 Pengolahan Limbah Tekstil dengan Metode Hibrid Menggunakan Sistem Filtrasi Bottom Ash dan Constructed Wetland http://ojs.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/jsti/article/view/158 <p>Textile wastewater that is discharged directly can cause damage to aquatic ecosystems and affects human health, thus requiring an effective alternative wastewater treatment. This research was conducted using a hybrid method that aims to eliminate pollutants in textile waste. The study was conducted by flowing textile waste into the bottom ash filtration and proceed to constructed wetland system with the residence time of 4 days. The results showed a decrease in the value of TDS, TSS, COD, and chromium by 16.47%, 97.09%, 72.14%, and 94.78% respectively in bottom ash output; and 13.12%; 57.53%; 7.52%; and 0.35% in the constructed wetland output. Health service centers in all corners of the region are starting to develop and so many people need health services. Puskesmas is an organization under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia which functions to provide public health services to people at the sub-district or regional level. The Shoulder Puskesmas, Malalayang District, is one of the integrated service centers, acceptable and accessible to the community in Malalayang District. The results of observations and interviews in the field showed that there were some services that were lacking so that there were complaints from residents who came for treatment. Complaints include lack of parking space, lack of medicines, poor cleanliness of the Puskesmas, lack of queuing seats, less clean toilets, and a lack of service information. Based on these initial indications, it is necessary to improve the quality of services at the Shoulder Health Center. SERVQUAL and ZOT are used to measure the level of satisfaction of Puskesmas services and identify criteria under tolerance limits. This study used 150 respondents. The validity and reliability tests were conducted using 30 respondents to get the results that the questionnaire is valid and reliable. The results of data processing show that attributes 1, 3, 9, 13, 15, and 16 are minus ZOT width values, thus these attributes are a priority for improving the quality of Puskesmas services.</p> Ronaldo F.I Rottie Tryadi W. Untreated wastewater can cause environmental damaging and bring a negative impact on the organism’s health especially humans. Treating the wastewater before disposing, can reduce its impact. Biofilter is one of the wastewater treatment system that utilizing microorganisms on the filtration media to reduce the organic loading. Not all organic loads are processed in the biofilter, then the other processed is needed to maximize the result as an unified system. This study is was about a hybrid biofilter and hydroponic system in treating domestic wastewater. The hydroponic system used is NFT (Nutrient Film Technique). The cultivated plants are Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L). Lettuce can absorb nutrients such as nitrates and phosphates from the treatment of liquid waste. The parameter that measured such as Ammoniac, Nitrate, Phosphate, TDS, BOD, DO, temperature, and pH with the retention time or Hydraulic Retention Time (HRT) for 5 days. In this research, the Sub Surface Vertical Flow Constructed Wetland (SSVF CW) system was built to determine the effect of the depth of the Echinodorus palaefolius's rhizofer on the quantity of dissolved oxygen (DO) in the SSVF CW system. This system was designed to treat domestic wastewater with HRT of 4 days. SSVF CW was built using soil and stones of 1-2 cm, 2.5-5 cm, 7-10 cm as media. This study shows that melati air with an average root length of 47.25 cm and the longest root of 60 cm was able to influence DO concentration in the system. The removal efficiency of TSS, BOD, total ammonia, and phosphate was 93,48%, 89,39%, 59,39%, and 66,53% respectively. It contains many coliform bacteria. The bacteria were dangerous if it pollutes the environment because it can be the human’s disease. In general, hospitals have implemented wastewater treatment systems using disinfectants as tertiary treatment. Disinfectant itself can endanger the environment if used continuously. In addition, the use of disinfectants costs a lot. Therefore, this study uses a constructed wetland system as an alternative of the tertiary treatment using Echinodorus palaefolius. The results obtained from studies using this system are the percentage effectiveness of decreasing total coliform, BOD, nitrate, and phosphate.
